Every scent in the Mixologie collection was expertly crafted to make customizing a scent for your body chemistry easy and fun. Mixing is simple. You do it right on your skin with the rollerball applicators or body mists. Layer different scents together to create customized blends. Experiment with different mixes to find what brings out the best in your body chemistry. Layer. Blend. Love.
There's no "one size fits all" answer here. It's truly different for everybody. Body chemistry, environmental factors, and where you apply it all play a role in scent longevity. Like any fragrance, when it begins to fade for you, others still may be able to smell it loud and clear. The best way to get maximum scent longevity is to layer the products.
A little-known fact is that most "perfume headaches" are triggered by alcohol and nasty preservatives and chemicals, not fragrance. Since we only use clean ingredients, our brand is known by many to be a "headache-free" fragrance. We have a loyal following of customers who say Mixologie is the only brand they can wear! Pro-Tip: If you're extremely prone to headaches, skip the parfum formulation and stick with the rollerball oils and body mist since the parfum has alcohol in the formula.
Everyone applies a different amount, so it varies. With daily use, most people report 2-3 months of use!
Rollerball Perfume: Dipropylene Glycol, Fragrance
Parfum: Alcohol (denat.), Fragrance
- Dipropylene Glycol: A carrier oil known for its stellar safety profile. Bonus: It's moisturizing!
- Fragrance Oils: provide that heavenly scent and hydration.
- Alcohol (denat.): provides maximum scent distribution on your skin
Notice what's missing: No parabens, phthalates, or other nasty chemicals.
It's really a matter of personal preference!
- If you prefer a soft, subtle, more intimate scent that is experienced only by people closest to you, go with the rollerball perfume oils.
- If you want to stay on the light side, but you prefer a spray version that you can apply all over (including your hair), go with the body mist!
- If you want the "wow factor" fragrance that will be powerful enough to turn heads, go with the parfum!
- If you want a fragrance designed specifically for your hair that will last for days, snag the hair fragrance mist!
Either way, you can't go wrong. Pro tip: Get them all! Layer them for maximum longevity & and save on the bundle!
